Etsy Hookers Team Challenge Entry - Crocheted Owl Wristlet

This is my entry for Etsy Hookers Creative Challenge #4 - Hearth and Home Comfort Crochet.

Etsy Hookers is a team that is made up of people who love Etsy and love to crochet, although the team name does sounds rather naughty :) The team host creative challenges from time to time and for this challenge members are asked to create an item in autumn colors that represent their idea of comfort and can be used in the home.

View all the entries on the team blog at http://etsyhookers.blogspot.com/. Voting will begin on November 10th - 17th and everyone is invited to vote. Vote for me if you like my item!

My Story for the Creative Challenge:

What is home? I believe that home is where your family and friends are, not a building that you happened to live in. As winter and the hoilday season approach I am reminded on the wondeful moments I have spent in gatherings all over the world with my husband, my family, and my friends. Without them my house does not feel like home. With my husband away this hoilday season (he is preparing for military deployment), home is wherever I go visit my friends, my parents and my extended family. I perfer to travel light, so I often will take a small wristlet along with a few essential items inside(credit card, cash, ID, keys, lip balm). This wristlet is wonderful because it's a good size to hold a few items and it has a cute owl design.

More info about this item:

This crochet owl wristlet is made with 100% cotton yarn. It has a zipper with a 100% cotton fabric lining inside. There are two safety eyes securly fastened as the owl's eyes. The zipper and the lining are hand-sewed by me and they are very secure. The lining fabric is made of scrap fabric and it has a beautiful gold leaf pattern. It can be machine washed (warm or cold water is fine) and lined dry.The wristlet measures about 5 inches (12.7cm) wide and 4 inches (10.16cm) tall. The wrist band is about 9 inches in circumference.

Makes a great gift this Christmas season!
